To us, specialty coffee (and all that goes with it) isn’t so much about indulgence, but ritual–having places and moments and things in life that add value and create rhythm.
We're thrilled to serve you at The YP Summit and hope to roast and brew and serve you over and over again moving forward. This page is a bit about the coffee you're sampling today and how to enjoy it again–at one of our shops, at home, or even at your office.
Happy Friday. We sure love sharing this city with you!
Adventurous
Modor Shantawene, Ethiopia
Because of the genetic diversity of African coffee plants, this washed processed has so many exciting flavors to offer. It’s clean and bright, complex but balanced.
The body is medium.
The acidity is high.
The roast level is light.
Tasting notes of apricot, candied citrus, and spiced black tea, and caramel.
How it started–
This coffee frome Ethiopia is a true collaboration from the start. Growers in the area of Shantawene, situated between the village of Bombe and Bombe Mountain, are smallholders. They produce coffee in the garden areas around their homes and often also harvest cherries from coffee occurring naturally on the land where they live.
The cherries are then delivered to the washing station and combined with green coffee from other land parcels in the area where it is sorted, processed, and prepared to ship to roasters like us.
