A washed-process bean from the La Union region of Nariño, Colombia,1800 MASL where the cool nights, warm days, and volcanic soil help cherries mature slowly, creating a dense bean packed with flavor. Nariño is one of the country’s most distinct coffee regions and some 20,000 families participate in the production of coffees from this area.
Coffee tastes like coffee, but if you're paying attention, it also tastes like a lot of other things. Nariño has tasting notes of caramel, graham, and meyer lemon, and sits in the balanced part of our line up. As with all our small batch varieties, quantities are limited.
