Producers: 13 coffee growing families and Jesus Vallejo, founder of Soto Coffee
Processing: washed
Elevation: 1600 MASL
Tasting Notes: lime zest, honeysuckle, caramel, and vanilla bean

This washed-process coffee comes to us from Nariño, one of the 37 "Departments" making up the country of Colombia. Bordering Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean, the diverse geography and varied climates of Nariño makes farming this coffee a challenge for its producers–13 coffee growing families and Jesus Vallejo, founder of Soto Coffee in Colombia. Since 2014, Vallejo has helped the families improve their facilities, enabling them to share resources across their association which has resulted in improved crops and livelihood for all farmers.

Coffee tastes like coffee, but if you're paying attention, it also tastes like a lot of other things. Nariño has tasting notes of lime zest, honeysuckle, caramel, and vanilla bean, and sits in the adventurous part of our line up. As with all our small batch varieties, quantities are limited.
